The iMac, Now and Then

In 1998, Apple introduced a color-varient half egg-shaped computer known as the iMac. It began a revolution in computer technology as it combined the monitor and computer tower into one device, and worked off of one simple chord. It was huge because it rid of the excess bundle of chords that was required by standard computers. Now, in 2010. Not only has the iMac grown almost 20” greater, but the performance, capability and all around coolness the current iMac Core 2  absolutely blows away what was introduced a mere 12 years ago. The iMac has gone from colorful plastic to a sharp, sleek aluminum and black glass interface that stands less than 3 inches thick. And the best part is, even after 12 years when the first iMac was sold for $1,199, the Core 2 iMac is selling for, $1,199!
