The Apple Cinema Display. 30 inches of beauty. Enough said.
Actually not really, is Apple pushing the level of computing with this screen? It still stands as the largest display screen that Apple has to offer. And it came out over 5 years ago! Right now it stands 3 inches larger than the largest iMac (27” Core 2), and 6 inches larger than the next largest display screen (24” LED Display) When it was released in 2004, the next closest competitor was the 23” Cinema Display from the same line of displays, and it was 13 inches larger than the nearest iMac (17” White G5.) The cinema displays came in a line of 3 different sizes, 20”,23” and 30”. The 30 inch is the only display still for sale. I think 30” may be pushing the line a bit. Sure it is comforting, but I think if the size enlarges I may get my TV and Computer mixed up (theoretically.) Apple offers the cinema displays for a much higher price than their competitors. Even though it has not been proven to soar above and beyond it’s competitors (like its prices) if your a machead, you will buy it.
